Interactive Cities is a static informational website. We do not require accounts and do not operate a database of visitor information.
If you search for an address or place, the text you enter is sent directly from your browser to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim search service. The request is governed by the Nominatim Usage Policy and OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy. Do not enter confidential information. Interactive Cities does not save the query or include it in analytics.
If you choose “Use my location”, your browser asks for permission and supplies coordinates to the page. If you choose a point manually, the point remains in the page. In both cases the coordinates are used only in your browser to place the pin, identify the mapped area and measure nearby stations. They are not added to the URL, sent to our server, saved in browser storage or included in analytics.
If you add an area to Compare, this site stores up to two public area IDs in your browser, separately for each city, so the comparison remains available while you browse. It does not store addresses, coordinates, search text or other personal information, and comparison choices are not added to the URL. You can remove an area from Compare at any time; clearing this site's browser storage also removes saved comparisons.
We may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymized traffic patterns (e.g. which neighborhoods are viewed most). Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser. You can opt out using your browser's privacy settings or an ad-blocking extension.
When you click a "View Rentals" link, you leave our site and go to a third-party property listing platform (such as iProperty, EdgeProp, or Airbnb). Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.
